Due to a recent update active publications are now automatically updated within around 15-20 minutes and the changes will be reflected in the browser without the need to clear your cache. On occasion the refreshing of publication content is not always successful in the time period estimated and can take a bit longer to reflect the most current version, please see some of the below scenarios where publication content has not been refreshed and what you can do to resolve the issue:
- You have not refreshed the content of the publication: It is important to refresh the content of the publication in order to see the changes in your activated version. Please follow the steps below:
1. Go to My Publications
2. Click the checkbox (left column) on your chosen publication
3. Click the "Refresh on CDN" button at the bottom of the screen
4. Click OK on the window that opens
5. Wait around 15-20 minutes
- You have not cleared your local browser cache: It is very important to clear your local browser cache of old internet files as you will only see the old version of the publication, some browsers will need to be restarted to serve the most up to date version.
Some other issues that could affect the caching of publications which are outside the control of Zmags are:
- You are behind a network proxy which is storing a cached version of the content on the network: If you are operating behind a network or firewall proxy then we unfortunately cannot force changes through on a publication as the cached version of the publication is being retained on your network. You will either have to wait the full 8 hours or wait until your network proxy grabs a new version of the publication. If you have the ability to clear the network proxy then this would be the desired action to see the changes. Alternatively, trying the publication outside the network would be adviseable
